Digital Collage using Polyvore

The images on this site are not royalty or copyright free but it's fun to just play and get inspired.

But beware! You can buy almost everything there's an image of because they link to different shopping sites. Luckily, a lot of the stuff I like is only available on British sites that, for some reason or another don't ship to America. But I do have a pair of shoes and a cute hair thing on the way. You don't have to buy anything... but it's so hard to resist.

Latest

I bought these little wooden plaques with gromits in so I'm making some small paintings. This one gives me sort of a Wizard of Oz vibe. If you look soooper close, you'll see some japanese text in her hair. Japan is my new obsesh.

I'm also getting some prints ready and could possibly be opening up my Etsy shop soonish. Back from traveling and possibly having some type of normal person's schedule soon.

This blog is so very sadly neglected. Find me on Facebook for more regular updates!

There is no spoon.

So I'm up at a ridiculous hour. I really don't even know what time it is. But I know I shouldn't be up.

But I've become obsessed with finding a bag I already have. I love this bag...

And I have this bag, in green, but it's all beat up now. I've done patches and duct tape and it's still falling apart.

The only problem is... I can't find it anywhere. No one is selling it anymore.

It's called Guapa Violeta. Isn't that the coolest name?

I was going to try and make it myself but I'm pretty sure it will result in tears. Does anyone want to give this a go? I'll pay for the custom work! Obviously, it doesn't have to be exact. I just love the shape and the fabric and the rigid structure of the bag. Help!

In other news, I had a Matrix-like deja vu today. I saw the same cat cross the same street twice in what seemed like less than a minute. *creepy music goes here*

The Scribbler!

I am addicted to this site called The Scribbler. I remember playing with it a while back but then my computer crashed and I lost all my bookmarks. Dontcha hate that?

Well, thanks to my fab friend Kelly's recent Facebook update... did I have friends before Facebook? I don't think so... I found the site again and yay!

I think I'll make some of these into photoshop brushes.

"You've got no right to grow here." -The Doormouse

I. can't. wait.

I'm currently not speaking to Tim Burton because of what he did to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but I am really looking forward to this. I hope...
I just hope.

NING!

I'm sitting outside, at my patio table, in the shade, while I enjoy the beautiful day and type this blog.

I've been thinking for a while now that blogs and yahoo groups are on the way out. It's all about Facebook and NING now.

I've been taking online classes from my girl Suzi Blu and loving the Ning Network. Go check it out. It's fricking awesome.

I've just started a class with another painter named Paulette Insall who also started up a Ning.

Follow my links to find artistic happiness.

How genius is it to do an online video class? Genius, I say! I'm sure it's fun to travel and meet new people in the flesh (ew, I hate the saying "in the flesh") but without all the cost of schleping your stuff around, you can charge less for the class and it can be as long as you want. Just saying. I love listening to people talk so I love video blogs anyway, so this is up my alley. (I also hate the expression "up my alley.") I don't know why I keep using expressions I hate. I guess I'm just rusty at writing. Really, really rusty.

In the midst of all the twelve-thousand other things I'm planning to do and currently supposed to be doing and procrastinating on, I'm going to eventually move to Ning. But not yet! Don't leave me yet, those five of you who are still hanging on to this woefully neglected blog.

I'll leave you with some art I've been making. These are actually the front and back covers of a new art journal.

Front:
front by you.

And back:
back by you.

Oh and one more thing. I just had to have another Pullip.

Meet Zuora...
zuora by you.

Don't judge me. I needed her. And I bought her on Ebay for way cheap. Well, cheap-ish. I don't buy fancy clothes or shoes or bags. This is what I spend my money on. What can I tell you.

Ugh... now I have to go deal with Monkey who can not stop barking at a squirrel who I swear is taunting her.

TTFN.

Artfest and Port Townsend, WA - 2009

This is the book I made in Pam Garrison's class. I really liked her

A word about this Escalade... there is no way in hell I would ever rent a
Cadillac Escalade on purpose... especially for an Art Retreat!!! If I didn't
take this monstrosity we would have to wait at least another half hour more
than the hour we already waited to get a rental car. So I took it... and Ruth and I
rolled into Artfest like the pimps we are.

Tea Party!!!!

I am so going to THIS!!!! Yeeeeeeeep!

I'm not really a full costume kind of girl. But! For the occasion, I'm going to print this out on transfer paper and make a t-shirt out of it!

There's a chance I might wear a decorated top hat. We'll see how it goes. A tee shirt and a top hat. It says, "I want to be formal but I'm here to party."

Anyway... I'm for sure going to take a zillion pictures, so stay tuned!
